Susanne N. Lyons-Josephs is an Appraiser with Otteau Group and entered the real estate profession in 1977 as an employee of the Land Valuation Division of the Ministry of Finance in Kingston, Jamaica. Her education, training and professional development span over 30 years and three countries including Jamaica (West Indies), United Kingdom and the United States. In Jamaica Susanne was associated with the Association of Land Economy and Valuation Surveyors (ALEVS). She held several offices in that organization including President. She graduated from the University of Technology in Kingston, Jamaica (1983) with a diploma in Land Economy and Valuation with the distinction of “Best Valuation Student”. In England, she was affiliated with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree (with Honors) in Urban Estate Management from the University of Westminster, London, England (1987). Here in the United States, Susanne has appraised various property types in New York and New Jersey since 2006. She holds the Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in New York and New Jersey and currently a Candidate for the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute.
