Construction spending has increased by 19% in New Jersey this year. However, new construction starts remain nearly unchanged, up by just 1%.
Delivering the figures during the Associated Construction Contractors of New Jersey Fall Convention in Long Branch, Otteau Group Inc. Chief Economist Jeffrey Otteau underscored the significance of the increase, “In the worlds of economic analytics, anything more than single digit is a big deal.”
